Our Quality Management System is based on, and intended to meet, the requirements of ISO 9001. It supports a process-based and risk-based approach to planning, production, procurement, delivery, review and continual improvement. We use the Quality Management System as a practical tool to achieve best practice outcomes across the organisation, consistently meet customer, statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements, maintain competent and quality-aware employees and contractors, identify and manage risks and opportunities, monitor quality performance, customer feedback, nonconformities, corrective actions and supplier performance, and continually improve our systems, processes, products, services and customer experience.
Bowden Printing Pty Ltd recognises that quality outcomes depend not only on our internal processes, but also on the goods and services we procure from external providers. Where we procure goods or services that form part of a customer solution, including signage manufacture or installation, wide-format and display products, promotional items, branded merchandise, specialty finishing, packaging, freight or other subcontracted services, we apply appropriate controls to ensure that outsourced outputs meet customer, quality, safety, ethical and compliance requirements.
We select and maintain approved suppliers based on capability, quality performance, reliability, compliance, value, environmental credentials and ethical business practices. We communicate clear purchase and production specifications, including artwork, brand requirements, dimensions, substrates, colour expectations, durability, finishing, packaging, delivery requirements and customer-specific standards where applicable. We check that procured signage, promotional and merchandise products are suitable for their intended purpose and comply with applicable Australian requirements, product safety expectations and customer instructions. We verify incoming goods and outsourced services through appropriate checks, sampling, proofs, approvals, certificates, delivery inspections or supplier documentation, and we record and review supplier issues, late deliveries, nonconforming products and corrective actions so that supplier performance can be improved or alternative suppliers considered.
Bowden Printing Pty Ltd ensures that responsibilities for quality are established and communicated clearly, relevant skills and quality awareness training is provided, customer needs and expectations are regularly reviewed, and suppliers and subcontractors understand and comply with the requirements that apply to the products and services they provide to us.
